中山商圈涵蓋時尚、文創及餐旅等多面向特色，從捷運中山站周遭精緻小巧的創意小店所營造出來的設計氛圍，一直到中山北路二段沿線的婚紗街，以及精品商圈，展現國際時尚特色。其中，中山捷運站附近的南西商圈，承襲日治御成町舊昔遺留的文化特色，與近半甲子以來精品飯店與時尚百貨的崛起，形成臺北最早的精品文化與個性店面進駐的業態。尤其誠品南西店的進駐，也為商圈帶入了近年盛行的「選物」概念。此外，本區因為擁有臺灣知名的設計學府-實踐大學，附近也是時尚設計工作室的匯集之地。

Zhongshan District is a multifaceted shopping area full of fashion, culture, and creativity, as well as bistros, cafes, and hotels. With the design atmosphere created by exquisite small boutiques and shops around the MRT station, and luxury stores and the world-renowned Wedding Mile along the 2nd section of Zhongshang North Road, this area is a trendy fashion destination with an international touch.

Among which, the Nanxi commercial district near the MRT station inherited the cultural legacy from the old Onari-cho during the Japanese-ruled period, along with the rise of boutique hotels and fashion department stores over the last 30 years. It has become the first district in Taipei to combine luxury goods culture and hipster boutiques. Lately the Eslite Spectrum Nanxi has settled in this area and introduced the trend of “select shops” to this bustling neighborhood.

The district is also home to Shih Chien University, a prestigious design school, and has attracted many fashion studios to settle here.
